Contrary to the advice of some collaborators who urged him to clarify internal party issues by sending messages to those challenging his policies, Nikos Androulakis delivered a unifying speech to party members during yesterday’s event at SEF. It was no coincidence that the loudest applause during his address came when he emphasized that change cannot happen without conflict with vested interests and called on everyone, despite difficulties, to “fight united and dynamically in every corner of our country.” He added, “No one will break us, not even the power system of Mr. Mitsotakis.” The conference was noted as highly productive by Androulakis’ team, marking the beginning of the party’s political reactivation with the active involvement of the Political Sector members, who either filled SEF or joined digitally. Addressing his party members, Androulakis praised them as a rich cadre force unique among parties, stating they do not stem from clientelistic-funded cadres functioning as launching pads for public office. Furthermore, he indirectly but clearly referred to Zoe Konstantopoulou by asserting, “We are not a party-leader entity or a one-man show but a popular and patriotic movement with deep roots in society.” Notably, Kostas Skandalidis, rumored to lead the expansion effort, sat alongside Anna Diamantopoulou and Pavlos Geroulanos. Androulakis prioritized regional development and presented an opposition agenda showcasing alternative governance proposals. Additionally, PASOK unveiled its first package of measures regarding the Greek railway andOSE, emphasizing feasible and innovative solutions.
