Androulakis on OPEKEPE: ‘Unaware Prime Minister’ Show Ends Today with Mitsotakis as the Lead

The revelation of two letters from the former President of OPEKEPE, Mr. Simandrakos, addressed to Maximos Mansion today puts an end to the performance of the so-called ‘unaware Prime Minister,’ stated PASOK President Nikos Androulakis. ‘These letters prove that Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis was fully aware of the corruption taking place within an organization responsible for distributing €3 billion annually.’ According to Androulakis, the result is a potential €1 billion fine for Greek citizens, damaging the country’s reputation across Europe and putting the agricultural sector in serious jeopardy during a critical period. Androulakis questioned Mitsotakis: ‘Why didn’t you stop these corrupt practices if you knew about them? Why did you cover up for these blue (conservative) networks? And why are you still refusing to take responsibility towards the Greek people?’
