‘My son-in-law used to hang out a lot with this man,’ the mother of the victim told newsit.gr about the killer of her daughter in Amfilochia. The incident occurred at noon on Tuesday (24.6.25) in Pigadia, Amfilochia. The 54-year-old perpetrator reportedly followed the woman and after an argument shot her in the head with a carbine. The devastated mother of the 51-year-old spoke to newsit.gr about the sudden loss of her daughter, stating that the 54-year-old killer had close ties with her daughter’s family and she had never heard any bad words about him from them. ‘He closed our home; he took from us what was worst possible. They were neighbors and then became godparents, they baptized their first child. I don’t know why he killed her; no one knows anything,’ she emphasized. As she mentioned, the 54-year-old and her daughter had never argued in the past, nor were there any differences between them that could have been a reason for such an act. ‘This man didn’t have his own family as far as I know but had very good relations with my daughter and her husband; they never fell out. I don’t know why he did her such harm. My daughter never had any issues with him. It was an extraordinary incident that happened; there were no prior incidents. Unfortunately, my 51-year-old daughter is gone; he killed her.’ ‘This man used to hang out a lot with my son-in-law. I don’t know what he was thinking when he did her such harm. I haven’t spoken with my daughter’s husband yet, and even if I do, what can I say? What is there to say?’ the mother of the 51-year-old said poignantly. Authorities are trying to piece together the puzzle of the murder of the 51-year-old woman while questions about the motives of the perpetrator remain unanswered.
