Alter Ego Media has acquired a 50.1% majority stake in MORE.GR, Greece and Cyprus’s leading digital ticketing platform. The move marks a strategic step in Alter Ego’s broader plan to expand into the live entertainment sector and further diversify its revenue streams.

What MORE.GR Does

Operating across Greece and Cyprus, MORE.GR offers a comprehensive suite of services—including ticket sales, distribution, and issuance—for cultural, entertainment, educational, and sporting events. It operates the top B2C digital ticketing platform in both markets, with approximately 1.85 million registered users and 3.8 million monthly visitors.

In 2025, the platform processed a gross transaction value (GTV) of around €155 million, selling over 7 million tickets across more than 27,000 events. Its operations in Cyprus are carried out through its fully owned Cypriot subsidiary, More.com Online Services CY LTD.

Deal Terms

The acquisition price is €20 million, valuing MORE.GR at €40 million on a fully diluted basis. The agreement includes an earn-out mechanism tied to the company’s financial performance over the next three years, potentially raising the total valuation to €60 million.

Based on MORE.GR’s current business plan for fiscal year 2026, revenues are projected at €11 million, with EBIT expected to reach €5.2 million—contributing positively to Alter Ego Media’s consolidated financial results.

Leadership Continuity

Haris Karonis, founder of MORE.GR, remains a key shareholder and continues to lead the company as its CEO.

Market Outlook

The live events industry is widely regarded internationally as one of the most resilient and dynamic segments of the global media and entertainment sector. Unlike digital content consumption, live experiences remain irreplaceable—making this space a strong ‘defensive growth story’ with steady demand and significant value-creation potential through tickets, sponsorships, and ancillary services.

In Greece, rising demand for cultural and entertainment events—combined with tourism growth and the development of new event venues—creates favorable conditions for sustained expansion in the sector over the coming years.

Executive Statement

Yannis Vrentzos, CEO of Alter Ego Media, said: “Our investment in MORE.GR is a pivotal milestone in executing our strategy to strengthen our presence in the fast-growing live entertainment space. MORE.GR has established itself as the leading digital ticketing platform in Greece and Cyprus—combining scale, technology, and deep market expertise.”
