Almeyda After AEK – Olympiacos Loss: ‘I Feel Awful’

Clearly troubled by the latest defeat against Olympiacos, AEK’s Matías Almeyda expressed his disappointment. In the OPAP Arena match, AEK found itself in its 25th competitive game and is now 5 points behind the top. Following the game’s conclusion, Almeyda stated that a minor detail made the difference in the derby, emphasizing the need for AEK to focus on the upcoming cup. Speaking candidly to COSMOTE TV, he said, “I am absolutely devastated, I feel awful to put it plainly. You always defend a derby with your soul and life, especially after the result from the previous game. The smallest detail would have made the difference, and it did.” Regarding how he perceives this loss moving forward, he added, “I can’t know yet.
