In a strongly worded letter, Allou! Fun Park announced its reopening last Saturday (March 1, 2025), after a challenging 2.5-month closure. The park expressed harsh criticism toward the municipality for the prolonged shutdown. “With great joy, we announce that Allou! Fun Park has reopened its doors on Saturday, March 1. The resumption of operations represents a significant vindication for us, as we faced serious obstacles during this period,” the statement noted, leaving no punches pulled against the Municipality of Nikaia.
The delays and bureaucratic hurdles imposed by public administration caused substantial economic damage, jeopardized dozens of jobs, and created severe disruptions to the company’s reputation and operation, according to the announcement. “None of these issues were related to safety concerns, contrary to what some may have implied,” it continued. Allou! Fun Park emphasized that it is the only entertainment venue in Greece fully certified and subject to continuous inspections by relevant authorities.
The park’s closure was linked—unjustifiably—to a power outage incident shortly before the municipality’s decision. The DEDDHE confirmed in writing to the municipality and relevant authorities that the outage was unrelated to park safety standards, which remain verified. Additionally, claims about late submission of licensing documents were debunked, with all required documents submitted within deadlines. However, the municipality decided last December not to accept them, demanding additional paperwork beyond standard procedures.
Despite challenges, the park moved swiftly to complete necessary actions ensuring its reopening. The management concluded by thanking supporters and inviting visitors back: “Nowhere else is like ALLOU!”
