The title of Honorary Doctor of the University of York received today Saturday (23.11.2024) from a private college in Thessaloniki, Melina Kanakaride and the Honorary title was awarded to the great performer, Alkis at Protopsaltis and the distinguished Greek-American actress, screenwriter and director, Melina Kanakaride from a university abroad. The two artists, with the great careers in the artistic venues, who are active, were honoured for their entire contribution to culture and society. The award took place at the Thessaloniki Music Hall during the university’s graduation ceremony. “My heart is Greece, it is a way of life. My whole family is from Thessaloniki and Naoussa.
