The Alexis Tsipras Institute, in collaboration with the Digital Policy, Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Group, has unveiled a proposal for a unified digital platform named ‘Transparency’ to strengthen public financial oversight and accountability. Designed to replace the existing ‘Diaugeia’ system, the platform aims to overcome fragmentation across Greece’s current digital infrastructure by enabling full interoperability, structured data integration, AI-powered analytics, and real-time tracking of every public expenditure—from tender announcement to final payment. Built on open-source software and offering open data and APIs, ‘Transparency’ seeks to ensure technological sovereignty, citizen accessibility, and robust social accountability. The Institute calls for an inclusive, expert-informed dialogue to define technical requirements, institutional reforms, and broad societal consensus ahead of implementation.
