The Alexis Tsipras Institute is set to award the Prespa Peace Prize to the Israeli and Palestinian creators of the acclaimed documentary ‘No Other Land.’ This prestigious recognition promotes peace through art. The award ceremony will take place during the 2nd International Conference on Democracy and Social Justice organized by the Tsipras Institute. The Prespa Peace Award will be presented to the four creators of the documentary: Palestinians Basel Adra and Hamdan Ballal, as well as Israelis Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor. Basel Adra and Yuval Abraham will attend and receive the award in person. The ceremony will occur on Tuesday, June 10, at the Megaro Moussikis Athens in the ‘Nikos Skalkotas’ Hall. The event starts at 15:45, will be live-streamed, and is free for the public. Designed by renowned artist Eugenia Manolioudaki, the award features a hand symbolizing victory, inspired by the work of Yiannis Psychopedis and crafted from recycled aluminum. The design represents hope and unity, emphasizing that true peace arises from encounters rather than silence. The award highlights the institute’s commitment to transcending borders through shared truth and artistic collaboration.
