An alarm was raised in Heraklion on Sunday afternoon (5 July 2026) after a woman was found unconscious inside a car in the Agios Ioannis area.
According to neakriti.gr, an EKAB ambulance responded immediately to the scene. Initial reports indicate the woman was pronounced dead at the scene and her body was transferred to the on-duty Venizelio Hospital.
The cause of death remains unknown, as do the circumstances under which she came to be inside the vehicle. Greek police have launched an investigation and are examining all available evidence to determine exactly what occurred.
