Iconic actor Al Pacino is set to star in ‘Dead Man’s Wire,’ directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Gus Van Sant. The script, penned by Austin Kolodney, is based on real events from 1977. According to the official synopsis of this thriller featuring Al Pacino, “on the morning of February 8, 1977, Anthony G. ‘Tony’ Kiritsis entered the office of Richard O. Hall, president of Meridian Mortgage Company, and held him hostage with a 12-gauge hunting weapon. This true story gained worldwide attention as Tony demanded $5 million and a personal pardon.” The film also features Bill Skarsgard, Dacre Montgomery, Cary Elwes, Colman Domingo, and Myha’la. The Academy Award-winning actor recently starred in ‘Knox Goes Away,’ marking his first collaboration with Van Sant. As per Deadline, Pacino is also part of the cast for films like ‘The Ritual’ by David Midell, ‘Killing Castro’ by Eif Rivera, ‘Hand of Dante’ by Julian Schnabel, ‘Billy Knight’ by Alec Griffin Roth, and ‘Easy Waltz’ by Nic Pizzolatto.
