The AKTOR Group is executing its largest strategic financing initiative to date, accelerating its development plan through 2031 — a €3 billion investment programme. The Group has launched a €650 million share capital increase (SCA) and a €300 million bond issuance, securing up to €1 billion in new capital. This move signals AKTOR’s strong growth momentum and ambitious long-term strategy.

A Shift Toward Integrated Infrastructure

With this financing, AKTOR will fast-track its five-year development plan — totalling up to €3 billion — focused on transforming its business model from a construction-centric company into a diversified, integrated infrastructure group. Key pillars of the expansion include Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) and concessions, Renewable Energy Sources (RES), and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) infrastructure.

Regional Leadership and Strategic Positioning

Upon completion, this initiative is expected to make AKTOR the most strongly capitalized infrastructure group in Southeastern Europe. It will significantly enhance the Group’s financial flexibility and execution speed, reinforcing its position as an international, vertically integrated, and multi-sectoral player with a robust footprint across regional infrastructure markets.

Broader Investment Strategy

By the end of the four-year financing cycle, AKTOR expects to have raised approximately €1.5 billion in total through equity increases and bond issuances. The current round specifically supports its 2027–2031 investment programme, targeting three core development areas:

  • LNG & FSRU infrastructure: Expansion of LNG import, storage, and regasification capabilities — backed by binding long-term agreements securing €9 billion in contracted work between 2030 and 2050.
  • Concessions and PPPs: Further growth of its portfolio of concession and PPP projects both in Greece and internationally, ensuring stable, recurring cash flows.
  • Renewables and vertical integration: Scaling up RES generation capacity and deepening vertical integration across the energy value chain — supporting the energy transition while building a resilient EBITDA base.

Construction remains central to AKTOR’s operations and will continue to be a key contributor to its overall business model.

Simultaneously, the Group is benefiting from strong confidence from leading international financial institutions — reflecting broad market trust in AKTOR’s trajectory, investment plan, and growth prospects. The SCA is being underwritten by top-tier global financial houses.
