Aitoloakarnania: 67-Year-Old to Plead for Killing 95-Year-Old Father

A 67-year-old man, who allegedly killed his 95-year-old father in Chalkiopolis, is set to plead on Monday. The suspect claimed that he killed the elderly man because he wouldn’t let him sleep. The retired police officer, whose name had previously been involved in a rape case years ago, was brought to the Agrinio First Instance Prosecutor’s Office on May 8th, 2025. The man appeared before the responsible prosecutor without a lawyer and was given until next Monday, May 12th, 2025, to plead. According to available data, the 95-year-old suffered a horrific death at the hands of his son, who reportedly struck him multiple times on the head with a club and another sharp object. The elder’s body was found in a pool of blood, after which the 67-year-old called his brother and admitted to killing their father.
