The intervention of police officers from the Cybercrime Division proved life-saving, preventing a suicide attempt by a 16-year-old girl in Aigio, a city in the region of Achaea. According to reports from tempo24.gr, the Hellenic Police’s Cybercrime Directorate alerted the local police station after the teenager posted a message on social media indicating her intention to take her own life. The police responded immediately, successfully stopping the act and escorting the minor to the station along with her mother. Following notification of the incident, the Public Prosecutor of Aigio ordered an involuntary psychiatric evaluation for the girl. Additionally, her mother was arrested for failing to adequately supervise her underage daughter.
