A murder case that occurred in Agia Paraskevi around noon on Saturday (5.7.2025) has turned into a gripping mystery as authorities race to identify the victim. According to witness accounts, the deceased was a man of approximately 40 years old, short-haired, well-built, and without tattoos. He is believed to have used a Russian-made pistol, possibly a Tokarev or Makarov model.
The victim remains unidentified, as no records exist in the files of the Extortion Division, Narcotics Division, or Homicide Department. Authorities believe the victim is a foreign national aged between 40 and 45. His mobile phone menu was set in English, and he carried no identification documents—no ID card, passport, or other paperwork—only some keys whose locks remain unknown to investigators.
Moreover, no one in the area recognized him, suggesting that Agia Paraskevi was not his place of residence. Police are currently investigating two possible scenarios: either it was an internal settlement within the Greek Mafia, or there is involvement from the Turkish mafia.
The lack of any identifying evidence has raised concerns among law enforcement officials. They speculate that the individual may have operated abroad before coming to Greece, only to be intercepted before executing his plans. Alternatively, he could be a member of the Turkish mafia who had not previously acted on Greek soil, making him unknown to local authorities.
Fingerprint data has been sent to Interpol and Europol databases, and authorities expect identification to be a matter of time.
