It was 2018 when one was about to thrill the entire planet. Tahlequah, as she has been named, swam for 17 days along with her dead. Unfortunately, the same whale is “sad” for a new loss. Another baby. CORVERSE According to the Whale Research Center, Tahlequah lost another whale, with her acting exactly the same way, as in 2018, she was swimming next to her dead baby. The whale was spotted this time off the coast of the American state of Seattle. According to the BBC, Tahlequah belongs to the species of killer whales. This species is known to carry their dead cubs into water, however what Tahlequah did, surpassed every record. CORVERSE As reported by the Whale Research Center, the death of any newborn is a huge loss. However, the death of Tahlequah’s second baby is particularly heartbreaking due to the tragic history of the whale. The whale has now lost two of its four registered newborns – both females, according to the BBC. Both Canada and the US list killer whales as they are threatened with extinction. The main food of whales is Chinook salmon – which has been dramatically reduced in recent years. Reproduction failures are linked to nutrition and access to this salmon, according to a Washington University survey. It is recalled that in 2018 Tahlequah was seen with the dead whale off the Victoria coast, in British Columbia.
