Europeans, Americans leave Afghanistan – Taliban promise the peaceful transition

The occupation of Kabul without resistance

The Taliban are expecting a peaceful transfer of power in the coming days, a spokesman said today as insurgents arrived in the Afghan capital, Kabul, with little resistance.

Suhail Sahin added that the organization would protect women’s rights, as well as the freedoms of media workers and diplomats.

At the same time, the United States was removing its diplomats from the embassy by Chinook helicopter. In addition, according to a US official, the United States is unlikely to change its military strategy in Kabul unless the Taliban influence the evacuation of the embassy.

The official, who did not want to be named, said the United States had not yet seen the Taliban enter Kabul with significant forces.
