A new attack against members of the Islamic State was launched early yesterday afternoon by the American forces in Afghanistan, this time in Kabul.
U.S. officials say the bomber struck shortly afternoon in front of a U.S. military base. A Taliban spokesman also said the US airstrike targeted a suspected car bomber.
About 300 Americans remain to be evacuated from Afghanistan, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said today.
