Biden and Merkel discuss humanitarian aid in Afghanistan

The two leaders agreed to continue scheduling aid at the next G7 summit

US President Joe Biden and German Chancellor Angela Merkel spoke by telephone yesterday to discuss efforts to evacuate and provide humanitarian assistance to vulnerable people in Afghanistan and neighboring countries, the White House said in a statement.

The two leaders agreed to continue scheduling aid at the upcoming G7 summit of the Group of Seven most powerful economies on the Internet, the statement added.
