AEL – Heraklis: The ‘Old Man’ Reports Attack on Team’s Arrival

However, as Larissa prepared for today’s match (March 29, 2025, 15:00), PAE Heraklis uploaded a video to YouTube accusing the ‘Old Man’s’ delegation of being attacked upon arrival at the ‘AEL FC Arena’. Heraklis claims that members of their delegation, including the team’s press representative, were assaulted. Furthermore, the press representative was reportedly asked not to enter the field despite having valid accreditation. Subsequently, Heraklis issued a statement strongly condemning AEL and the Larissa Police Department. The ‘Old Man’ announced that ‘in the event of any future provocation, the team will withdraw from the competitive area.’ The official announcement read: ‘We condemn PAE Larissa for the attack our team endured upon entering the field. We condemn Mr. Tsibanakos for assaulting our delegation alongside known hooligans. We also denounce the Larissa Police Department, which remained passive during the hostile reception we faced, despite prior warning. In the next incident, the team will withdraw from the competition area as police authorities are unwilling to ensure our protection.’
