Adonis Georgiadis Showcases Metaxa Hospital Renovation on TikTok

Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis visited the Anticancer Hospital of Piraeus ‘Metaxa’ today (05.04.2025). He highlighted the renovation taking place with funds from the Recovery Fund in a video posted on TikTok. The 6th and 7th floors have already been renovated, with the remaining floors and the Emergency Department (ED) included in the program. According to Georgiadis, the ED space will increase from 3-40 sqm to 150 sqm. Renovated patient rooms now include toilets, something they lacked before, while doctors’ quarters have also been fully updated. Additionally, common toilets have been upgraded to include accessible facilities. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Georgiadis emphasized that the aim of these videos is to highlight the tremendous progress being made in the National Health System (ESY). Despite justified criticism, he noted that every honest person can see the significant advancements.
