ADE: Full clearing of the landscape for debt arrangements

in

As regards the debt arrangements to the State, the Independent Public Revenue Authority (ADE) proceeded to fully clear the landscape. More specifically, the application of Article 87 of the new Tax Procedure Code (Law 5104/2024) was completed, which gave, with the payment of all outstanding instalments, the opportunity to revive arrangements that had been lost. I mean, Crediting any repayments to the debt of the arrangement, or Repayment of regulated debt in late until 31 March 2024 and continuing the arrangement, or Losing the arrangement. The application of the procedure resulted in the following: They were offset by these arrangements, taxpayers’ payments totalling EUR 47.5 million 22,000 regulated amounts were fully repaid 25,000 arrangements, a total of EUR 125 million, became up-to-date and still valid and served. For taxpayers who did not respond to the opportunity provided by Article 87 of the Tax Code, the standard loss of 213,000 arrangements, which were not actually served and had become inactive, was completed. These arrangements have now become officially inactive. It is recalled that the measure is not of a general nature and concerns arrangements of 36/72,100,120 doses or permanent arrangements of 24 or 48 doses, which were not lost by an act of the head of the DOU, but were in a ‘grey zone’, as neither active nor closed.
