Just seven days after his release from prison, a 56-year-old man from Platanoverysi in the municipality of Erymanthos, Achaea, was re-arrested and returned to custody for violating the restrictive conditions imposed upon him following his release.

Repeat Offender with History of Domestic Violence

The man had served approximately two-and-a-half years in prison for serious charges related to criminal domestic violence and multiple other offenses. He was conditionally released on 12 June 2026—but within just three days, new allegations emerged.

Threats Against Wife and Children

According to reports by tempo24.news, shortly after his release, he allegedly threatened to kill his wife and their three children. The threats prompted an immediate response from authorities. Officers from the Erymanthos Police Station carried out his arrest.

New Charges and Immediate Detention

A new criminal file was opened against him—not only for breaching his release conditions but also for the alleged recent offenses. He was brought before the competent public prosecutor, who ordered his immediate return to prison.

Additional Violation: Drunk Driving

During the brief period he spent outside prison, he was reportedly caught driving under the influence of alcohol—a factor that further aggravated his legal situation.
