AADE Simplifies Export Procedures for Goods Up to €1,000, Benefiting 2,700 SMEs

The Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) has streamlined and digitized the process for commercial goods transactions valued up to €1,000, primarily conducted through courier companies. According to an announcement by AADE, this simplification outlined in a circular by AADE Administrator George Pitsilis further facilitates exports for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It is estimated that over 2,700 exporters annually conduct 20,000 exports of goods under €1,000. The new procedure includes: centralized and digital submission of required data (Information Notice Z), automated risk analysis, and automated digital updates for exporters and tax offices regarding the confirmation of goods’ departure, accelerating the VAT clearance process during export. Necessary adjustments have been implemented in the existing functionalities of the integrated customs services information system ICISnet. Immediate processing of these specific exports requires submission of details by the courier company up to two hours before the departure of the transport vehicle to ensure timely risk analysis and the possibility of customs control. Submission of the Information Notice Z is done via the myAADE digital portal, under the path: Applications > Customs Services > ECS-Export Control System, using TAXISnet codes.
