The Greek Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) has extended the deadline for submitting Additional Tax Information Returns—commonly known as GIR declarations—to 30 October 2026. The extension applies to obligated entities within multinational corporate groups whose financial years end on or before 31 March 2025.
First-Time Implementation
This postponement comes ahead of the initial application of the new reporting obligation and aims to support a smooth transition. The decision was made by AADE Director Giorgos Pitsilis under administrative decision A.1131/2026.
Who Is Affected?
The requirement applies to entities that are part of multinational enterprise groups and are legally required to file an Additional Tax Information Return. The extended timeframe gives these businesses additional time to adapt, as this is the first year the obligation is in effect.
Related Notification Also Extended
Alongside the GIR submission, the deadline for filing the related notification—required for entities falling under this obligation—has also been extended to 30 October 2026. This measure forms part of the same facilitation framework, ensuring multinational groups have sufficient time to complete all necessary compliance steps.
