Using the ancient technique of “Erbu”, the artist Garip Ay creates a new version of the masterpiece of Van Gogh. The technique Erbu includes the creation of a canvas using water and carrageenan, a substance used to make the liquid more dense. “This viscous fluid can then support the paints applied to the surface of the water,” he explains.
