A strong interest of investors in building student restaurants through PPPs in Western Macedonia

The opening of the process for the construction in the West through Public and Private Sector Partnerships (SITs), announces Deputy Finance Officer Nikos Papathanasis, with the submission of dossiers of interest by investors. In particular, six Interest Event Folders (I Competition Phase) were submitted by investors for the project “Arousal of Student Restaurants at the University of Western Macedonia with PPP”. The private partnership body will be selected in accordance with the competitive dialogue process and will undertake for a period of 30 years the study, financing, construction, operation and maintenance, as well as security/secure and cleanliness services of student restaurants on the Campus Zone of Active Town Planning of Kozanis and student restaurants at the universities of Florina, Kastoria and Ptolemaida, a total capacity of 750 beds. The implementation of this PPP project, which marks the modernisation of the existing residences of students and the image of the University of Western Macedonia, is estimated to contribute significantly to addressing the housing issue, but also to the quality of the educational experience of students more widely.
