A giant asteroid approaches Earth on Tuesday according to NASA

A giant stadium size named 2024 ON, is expected to make close to Earth on Tuesday (17/09/2024), according to . The 2024 ON asteroid is 290 metres wide and will reach a distance of 1 million kilometers from Earth, according to NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The space rock last passed through Earth in 2013 and will return in 2035 and is closely monitored by the Virtual Telescope Project, which identified the “potentially dangerous” asteroid on 9 September traveling at about 40,000 kilometres an hour. However, as NASA reports, the asteroid reaching a minimum distance that is 2.6 times the average lunar distance is no danger to Earth.
