9+1 things your gym won’t tell you ever

The first months of the year is the best time for enrolling in a gym. Some decisions for changes in the new year, a little the distance of the gym, is enough to persuade anyone that the time has come for a lot of sweat. What “secrets” but they fail to tell you the places?
1. It will be a miracle if you are here until April
And if you convince yourself, that this year we will follow the whole program, which you pay in advance for your gym, the truth is, I probably would have given up before I even get April. This movement is more than expected from the gyms, which you will find the opportunity to “make” new deals, which means new members, just before you get to the summer.
2. Cleanliness is half the (only) class
About 80% of communicable diseases is done by direct or indirect contact. This alone, sets the gyms in the number 1 ally of germs. Sweat in a closed area, weights and machines pass from one athlete to another, without any disinfecting in between, are ideal conditions for transmission of viruses and germs.
3. Are you hurt? Oh!
Although the practice ensures good health, the truth is that gyms are places that can easily be injured. From a simple pull on the muscles, until it breaks for the most unwary, who stagger in their attempt to run on the treadmill, gyms are required to be prepared, but unfortunately, most do not have qualified personnel and simply continue with the hope that it will not happen.
4. The coaches are good, but…
Have you ever ask from your gym official documents, attesting that the gymnasts who your coach is really trained to do that? The answer is probably no. This is based on, and the large, mainly gyms, they hire people, which may not have the training required.
5. You want to stop? Ever
If you think, that will leave your gym to give up on the workout you’re wrong. Of course, it’s not your physical health that is of interest, but the money you will lose from each state. Just because this is a business, they will do everything to entice you with new offers and prizes, which you will hardly be able to resist. Before you sign up well, make a question about the policy, in the event that you want to quit.
6. In accordance with the contract
Because the details make the difference, before you sign your membership to the gym and commit yourself in writing, read very well the terms of the contract. Usually, in the “fine print” there are details that I never would have imagined. Pay special attention to the rules which mention the “penalties” in case of delay of payment.
7. Our equipment is …excellent
Most gyms sell the best and latest technology machinery, that can make you muscular and healthy at any time. In theory it’s nice, but take a look if it is indeed the case. Just because the gyms are too crowded, which uses the same machines, they may spoil and not be replaced. A result of this, there are many times in danger to get seriously injured. Make sure, before you use any of these and ask the specially trained instructor to show you how to operate each.
8. Everything is negotiable
If you are looking to discover the gym that suits you, it is advisable to do a market research in the beginning. Visit several gyms in your area, to make sure, that the offers that you have seen, it’s worth it. Keep a detailed list of the advantages and disadvantages of each, and then talk with the people responsible for the “something more”, that can offer.
9. Take care of your belongings
You may be reading the signs in the locker room and to other areas of the gym, indicating that you must take care of your belongings, but in no case will see to is posted the rest of that sentence, which states that “the gym does not bear any responsibility in case of theft”. I guess this is included in the “fine print” of the contract, that you didn’t read.
10. Something lawsuits that will fall…
The gyms and the big club, belonging to groups, know how to are covered legally. Moreover, these are companies, usually multinationals, which I won’t give anything to anyone. So it’s almost impossible to win anything if you sue them, even in the case that you are absolutely right.
