Starting today, 18 July 2026, taxpayers in Greece can apply to settle overdue tax debts under the new 72-installment repayment plan, as announced by the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE).
What Debts Qualify?
The scheme applies to verified tax debts that became overdue on or before 31 December 2023. To be eligible, these debts must not already be covered by another active settlement arrangement. If they were previously included in a payment plan, that arrangement must have been terminated by 20 April 2026.
Key Eligibility Conditions
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- A minimum monthly installment amount of €30;
- Submission of all income tax returns for the past five years — up to and including the 2024 tax year;
- No outstanding, unregulated overdue debts one month after joining the plan;
- No final conviction for tax evasion or smuggling.
How to Apply
Applications must be submitted digitally via the myAADE portal (myaade.gov.gr), under: My Account > Debt Settlements > Application for Debt Settlement under Law 5313/2026. The deadline for submissions is 31 December 2026.
The settlement becomes effective once the first installment is paid — which must be completed within three working days of submitting the application.
