7-Year-Old Lost at Halkidiki Beach Found Five Kilometers Away

An incredible incident unfolded in Halkidiki involving a seven-year-old girl who was lost and found five kilometers away. Yesterday evening (June 22, 2025), there was a significant rescue operation in Halkidiki for the recovery of a seven-year-old girl from Georgia, who disappeared while swimming at the Agios Mamandos beach in the municipality of Nea Propontida. The lifeguard noticed that the girl had gone out of sight and immediately activated the local emergency plan. Search efforts commenced in the surrounding area using a patrol boat and vehicle from the Harbor Police, a private rescue boat, and a jet ski, with the Greek Rescue Team’s volunteer network also alerted for assistance. Members of the Nea Moudania Harbor Authority located the child, who was unharmed, on the shore about five kilometers from where she had gone missing. Subsequently, a Greek police officer took custody of the minor and reunited her with her mother.
