A 62-year-old woman is battling for her life after receiving the wrong blood transfusion at Janio Hospital. Initially admitted for a neurological procedure, she suffered organ failure due to an error allegedly made by a nurse during night duty. The patient remains in critical condition with multiple organ failures affecting her kidneys, lungs, brain, and heart. According to family attorney Athanasios Alexopoulos, doctors have given her only a 5% chance of survival. Even if she survives, it is unclear whether she will be able to communicate with her surroundings.
