60 cases of intent of suicide investigated by the cyber Crime unit

Sixty cases of intent of suicide that occurred via the internet, were investigated by the… Address Electronic Crime, in January and February of 2016.
At the same time, made 5 arrests, 4 of which are for pornography of minors and 1 for violation of the legislation on personal data, while charges were filed in 74 individuals, in the context of proceedings of a regular process.
It is noted that, the first two months of the year were forwarded to implementation 359 public prosecutor’s orders for preliminary examination or preliminary investigation, all the prosecutor’s offices attached to courts of first instance in the country. Of these, the 308 was to Address Electronic Crime (DI.D.The.(E) and the 51 in the cyber Crime unit, Northern Greece.D.The.E.B.E).
Most of the cases handled throughout the country as the DI.D.The.E and the Y.D.The.E.B.Well, in the first two months of 2016, were for fraud and illegal money laundering (127), followed by those concerning the protection of personal data/threat (93), pornography of minors (39), animal protection (32), illegal access to computer systems/data theft (21), gaming (12), offences against minors, other than pornography (9), intellectual property (5), offences against the state authority (3), telecommunications privacy (2) and tax evasion (1).
Also, it is recorded, and 98 other cases, relating to offences, which are not included in the above categories. It is clarified, that in 442 cases handled a total of the Address of Electronic Crime in the first two months of 2016, including the new protocols that have been issued, whether it was a new prosecutor’s order, either for προανακριτικό material, slinging citizens etc.
In the context of international police cooperation with Interpol and Europol, the Address of Electronic Crime has managed 8 requests for cooperation. The requests concerned cases of transnational police investigation, which had as object κακουργηματικού the electronic crimes and was on pornography for minors, online scams, υφαρπαγές data and passwords to electronic databases, platforms and websites of electronic economic activities.
It should be noted, finally, that Address Electronic Crime took place, in January and February of 2016, a total of 13 lectures – seminars with the subject of the prevention of cyber crime and safe surfing on the internet, while the DI.D.The.E visited students from 10 schools.
