1. I would like to see me arguing with their dad
The truth is that it’s not something pleasant for children to see their parents fighting. Especially when it happens often. On the other hand, all people, all couples and all families have the right to disagree and to express it. Always, of course, in a healthy and civil. It is healthy to disagree with people. And even more healthy to find ways to solve these disagreements!
2. I would like to see “black”
Yeah, I know, a mom has to be and always looks well, why is it that when a mom is happy, then the kids are happy. On the other hand, a mom is and man. She has like all the good and bad days. I don’t mind sometimes to see the children face-down or κακοδιάθετες. It’s much worse to constantly strive to show that life is pink, just because it’s a lie. And the children understand the lies. And make them bad.
3. I would like to see me enjoying a hearty (albeit unhealthy) meal
Often, on the excess of our zeal to integrate in the life of our children the healthy habits to avoid to show how enjoyable it can be pizza, hamburgers, and potato chips. Well, it is! We moms (women, I’d say in general) rarely confess how much we like the food. Usually, we eat something that we consider trash, “hidden” and avoid to tell our children, that a delicious ice cream is always delicious, always in moderation and without guilt.
4. I would like to see me drink (a glass of) wine
The truth is that alcohol is a very sensitive issue. That is why most parents avoid drinking alcohol in front of their children. And very well they do! On the other hand, there is a huge chasm between the thoughtless consumption of alcohol and the consumption of it in moderation.
5. I would like to see stupid things on tv
I’ve always had a weakness for trash tv, by the brazilian press series of “The Mary of the neighborhood”, shows Life Style up to telemarketing. Have an addictive power, and you just empty the mind. And all this in a film viewer. Here I have no good excuse. I guess I will continue to see them in secret or when everyone else is gone.
