44-Year-Old Prison Escapee Arrested in Greece

On April 28, 2025, a 44-year-old escapee from Korydallos prison was arrested by Greek police. The man, who had two outstanding criminal convictions against him, was located during an identity check conducted by officers from the Zephyr Crime Investigation Department of Attica. According to authorities, the suspect escaped on February 2, 2025, from a medical facility where he had been transferred from Korydallos prison while serving a custodial sentence. He faced charges for drug trafficking and theft, with a total custodial sentence of 17 years and a fine of €13,000. Following his arrest, the individual was handed over to the competent prosecutor.
