The unprecedented maritime tragedy off Chios—claiming 15 migrant lives and injuring 25—has activated the Justice Ministry’s special crisis management protocol. Under the supervision of Justice Ministry Secretary General Vasiliki Giavi, a team of 4 forensic physicians and 3 autopsy technicians is deploying to Chios to coordinate forensic examinations.
