38-Year-Old Driver Arrested for Drunk Driving and Causing Accident in Thessaloniki

A 38-year-old woman from Ukraine was pursued for driving under the influence, reckless driving, and causing an accident on Botzi Street in Thessaloniki. She refused to take an alcohol test, confirming her violation as per legal procedures. The woman was referred to the Single-Member Misdemeanor Court of Thessaloniki, with her case postponed for further hearings. Despite the charges, she was released. The accident occurred at 4:20 AM on Friday, March 21st, when the vehicle carrying two Ukrainian women collided at high speed with a farm vehicle. The farm vehicle driver stated that the car ran a red light while he was heading to the local market. As captured in footage obtained by newsit.gr, the vehicle driven by the 38-year-old ran the red light and collided with the farm vehicle, severely damaging it. The 31-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.
