32-Year-Old Fake Cop Claims He Bought Police Uniform for Security Job

A 32-year-old former reality TV contestant was released today (March 17, 2025) after being arrested in Omonia Square for impersonating a police officer. Speaking to Live News, the man insisted he had purchased the police uniform to properly perform his duties as a security guard. “I work for a security company, and essentially, a security guard is like a private police officer,” he stated. The individual denied allegations of misconduct, emphasizing that he neither committed murder nor caused harm. Authorities spotted him last week wearing police attire and questioned his affiliation with any law enforcement agency. Despite attempts to evade them, he was apprehended at a nearby café. Investigations revealed that he may have been impersonating an officer for several months, possibly even a year. Café staff confirmed his frequent appearances in uniform over the past year. At the time of arrest, he possessed a fake weapon among other items. Following his release, he vowed to remain law-abiding.
