The 2026 university admission cut-off scores for Greece’s Panhellenic Examinations show broad stability overall, with the most notable increases concentrated in the second and third scientific fields. A standout development was the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon), which saw its cut-off score surge by more than 2,000 points — the biggest surprise of this year’s results.
First Scientific Field: Minimal Shifts
According to mathematics educator and exam analyst Stratos Stratigakis, changes in the first scientific field — covering law, psychology, and related disciplines — were modest. Most law schools held steady near last year’s levels. The Law School of Athens maintained its exact cut-off, while other law faculties saw decreases of no more than 25 points. Psychology departments followed a similar pattern, with most dropping between 20 and 80 points — except for the University of Thessaloniki’s Psychology program, which fell by 110 points.
“Overall, the first field remained at roughly the same level as last year,” Stratigakis noted.
Top 10 Highest Cut-Off Scores
Once again, the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA)’s School of Architecture topped the list. It was followed closely by Naval Studies at the University of Piraeus, medical schools, and other engineering departments:

Second Scientific Field: Strong Gains at Polytechnics
The second scientific field — dominated by engineering — recorded the largest increases. Electrical Engineering at NTUA rose by 490 points, while Mechanical Engineering at NTUA jumped by 610 points, reaching 18,738. Stratigakis attributes this upward trend primarily to stronger student performance in Physics — and, to a lesser extent, Mathematics.
Third Scientific Field: Medical Schools Climb Higher
The third scientific field — including medicine and dentistry — also posted notable gains. Medicine at Athens rose by 125 points; the largest increase was at the Medical School of Alexandroupolis, up by 375 points. Other medical and dental schools followed suit, with Stratigakis linking the rise mainly to improved Physics scores among candidates.
For prospective medical students, the threshold remains high: admission to any medical school across Greece now requires over 18,000 points.
