The announcement of the 2026 university admission thresholds has ended the long wait for candidates who sat the Panhellenic Examinations. For many, months of preparation have paid off — and in several cases, students gained entry to undergraduate programmes with scores just above 7,000 points.
Lowest Admission Thresholds
The lowest threshold this year was recorded at the Department of Statistics at the University of Western Macedonia in Grevena, where the last admitted candidate scored 7,190 points.
At the Department of Accounting and Finance — also at the University of Western Macedonia, but located in Kozani — the cutoff stood at 7,380 points.
The Department of Geography at the University of the Aegean in Mytilene had a threshold of 7,540 points. Interestingly, the same score — 7,540 — was also the minimum required for admission to the Department of Business Administration and Management at the University of Western Macedonia in Grevena.
Other Low-Threshold Programmes
The Department of Accounting and Finance at the University of Ioannina’s campus in Preveza required a minimum of 7,640 points.
Slightly higher was the threshold for the Department of Cultural Technology and Communication at the University of the Aegean in Mytilene: 7,970 points.
Admission to the Department of Forestry and Environmental & Natural Resources Management at Democritus University of Thrace in Orestiada required 8,080 points, while the Department of Digital Media and Communication at the Ionian University in Argostoli set its bar at 8,110 points.
