2026 Admission Preferences Form: 10+1 Steps and Key Tips for Submission

The deadline to submit the Admission Preferences Form (Michanografiko Deltio) for Greece’s National Examinations (Panellinies) is fast approaching. The online platform — michanografiko.it.minedu.gov.gr — will remain open until Thursday, 16 July 2026, at 23:59. During this period, candidates may submit both the main form for admission to Higher Education (universities and polytechnics) and the parallel form for entry into public Vocational Training Institutes (SAEK, formerly IEK).

What Comes Next?

Once submissions close, the Ministry of Education will announce the admission cut-off scores — known as “bases” — during the last ten days of July. This announcement will conclude the anxious wait for the 89,032 candidates who sat the 2026 Panellinies, competing for 68,788 available places in Greece’s higher education system for the 2026–27 academic year.

According to current projections from the Ministry of Education, most admission thresholds are expected to remain broadly stable. However, modest declines are anticipated in the 1st (Humanities) and 4th (Economics & Informatics) Scientific Fields. In contrast, the 2nd (Sciences) and 3rd (Health Sciences) Fields are likely to see slight upward movement in their minimum admission scores.

10+1 Practical Steps and Essential Tips

1. Log in to the official platform

Access the portal using your personal security code (password), which you received earlier through your high school. From there, select either the main Admission Preferences Form (for universities and polytechnics) or the Parallel Admission Preferences Form (for public SAEKs), or both.

2. Use the draft mode wisely

You can begin filling out a draft version of your form at any time — without finalising it. This allows flexibility: you may revisit the platform as often as needed to review, adjust, or reorder your programme preferences before submission.

3. Respect the hard deadline

The submission window closes strictly at 23:59 on Thursday, 16 July 2026. After that, no changes — including adjustments to department preferences or their order — will be accepted. There are no extensions.

4. Need a password? Here’s how to get one

If you haven’t yet obtained your security code, contact your high school during its scheduled office hours. If you’ve forgotten your existing password, you can either reach out to your school or — provided you registered a personal email when first obtaining the code — use the ‘Forgot My Password’ option directly on the platform to reset it.
