German police are investigating how 20 tons of Emmental cheese vanished en route from Bavaria to its destination in France. According to a police report, a logistics company had subcontracted another firm to handle the delivery. A truck arrived on time at a dairy in the Bavarian city of Bayreuth to collect the cheese—but never reached its final destination.
The missing shipment is valued at approximately €80,000.
