1962: The first and only escape from Alcatraz

From 1934 to 1963, 36 in total of the prisoners had tried to escape from the notorious prison, but almost all were arrested by the guards or died trying.
On the morning of June 12, 1962, however, when carrying out a routine inspection it was realized that three prisoners were missing from their cells: John Anglin, his brother Clarence, and Frank Morris. In their place were three dummy heads made of plaster with real hair, which gave time to the fugitives after the night shift, he did not notice their absence.
Immediately sounded the alarm and began an intensive investigation of land, air and sea to detect them. The FBI, the coast Guard and other agencies worked together to figure out from the few facts they had about the incredible disappearance of the three detainees – who had a past escape.
The fate of the three prisoners mentioned above officially remains a mystery, with the only certainty that came out of the building. The FBI kept the case open for 17 years, until the put in file without having managed to give a clear answer.
According to an article, however, Thomas Byers on Hub Pages, what really actually happened is that the escapees had been partners within and outside of the prison. Indeed, the wait for a boat to pass across.
The Byers, based on the testimony of a dying man, he writes that the man was a member of the team that received the fugitives, and he was going to take them to a cabin in Idaho. However, he and his partner eventually shot the escapees to take the large amount of money that they had in their possession.
The escape from Alcatraz was a movie in 1979 by Don Siegel, with Clint Eastwood in the main role.
