A 17-year-old impersonated a ticket inspector on buses in Attica, deceiving both passengers and drivers. Armed with a fake ID card, a fine book, and an RFID scanner, the teenager managed to collect money from unsuspecting commuters by imposing fake fines. ‘I was shocked, not only me but all the other drivers believed he was an actual inspector,’ said one bus driver. The teen, actually a high school student, was caught after conducting checks for several days across different routes. He would tell passengers that monthly tickets cost €72 and daily ones €35, issuing fines when people failed to produce valid tickets. Speaking on Live News, a close relative of the 17-year-old expressed disbelief at his actions, stating, ‘He has never given us any trouble before; this is completely out of character.’ Authorities found a counterfeit inspector’s ID, violation slips, and an RFID device in his possession when he was arrested on a bus route in southeastern Attica.
