17-Year-Old Arrested in Greece for Brutal Murder in Poland

A young Polish man has been arrested in Greece for a brutal murder committed just last week in his home country, with the victim being a woman. The 17-year-old was found in Greece as part of a group of tourists enjoying a vacation in Katerini. According to Polish prosecution documents, the murder took place on April 23rd in a city in northeastern Poland. The suspect is accused of dragging the woman into a carpentry shop where he repeatedly struck her with an axe or knife. Following this, he allegedly set her body on fire using an unknown chemical substance and disposed of her remains in a plastic waste bin. An arrest warrant issued by Poland was executed in Greece when he was located by the police. The individual is expected to be brought before the Appeals Prosecutor’s Office in Thessaloniki to initiate procedures for extradition back to Poland.
