17 Kilos of Cocaine Seized at Athens Airport: Greek and Albanian Arrested

In a major operation, the Drug Squad managed to intercept 17 kilograms and 133 grams of pure cocaine hidden in luggage at Athens International Airport, Eleftherios Venizelos. The drugs were transported from Brazil via Qatar. A Greek trafficker and an Albanian dealer had allegedly established close ties with Latin American drug cartels to smuggle large quantities into Greece. According to reliable sources, the Greek individual traveled to Brazil just days before to bring the cocaine back concealed within the luggage. Meanwhile, the Albanian suspect was tasked with distributing the drugs across Athens markets.
