The 14-year-old girl at the center of a shocking gang rape case in Keratsini remains in a state of trauma following her harrowing experience. According to her testimony, she was subjected to extreme abuse by several individuals during what she described as a living nightmare. Initially meeting one of the accused, she followed him to his apartment—only for the situation to escalate into a horrifying ordeal.
‘…They all came towards me slowly, hugging me, touching me,’ she recounted. ‘It started with hugs, but their hands began roaming my body… Then L… held me tight and E… kept holding me down while D… seemed more hesitant at first.’ The teenager claims that three out of the four suspects sexually assaulted her.
Her mother revealed the emotional toll on the family: ‘My daughter told me she took a shower because she had pain and bleeding… When I asked why she didn’t come straight home, she responded fearfully, ‘What should I say, Mom? That they raped me?’
The girl’s lawyer emphasized the severity of her psychological and physical injuries, stating, ‘She is trying to heal from wounds that are both mental and physical. Her parents are doing everything they can to support her through this unimaginable trauma.’
A concerned citizen eventually located the girl and contacted ‘Chamogelo tou Paidiou’ (The Smile of the Child), who immediately alerted the authorities. Despite efforts to provide psychological support, the girl has refused to speak with a counselor. However, all relevant information has been passed on to the Juvenile Protection Directorate.
The accused are expected to deny the charges when they give their testimonies next Monday.
