10+1 ways to avoid food poisoning

The food poisoning is very common in the summer. High temperatures favor the alteration of the… food, but also the proliferation of bacteria, which are responsible for most cases of food poisoning.
This means that we have to be especially careful when buying and conservation of food in order to avoid unpleasant adventures.
To protect yourself from food poisoning, follow these tips:
Do not let the raw meat touch or drip onto other foods.
We use different tools (knives, cutting boards ) for raw meat and cooked food.
Don’t place the cooked food on the same plate which we had used for the raw meat, without to wash it first very well.
Wash hands thoroughly after handling raw meat.
After baking, the food should be consumed as quickly as possible. Otherwise we keep it in the fridge, after it cools, within two hours of baking. After four hours, by the end of the baking, and as long as they remained outside of the refrigerator, begins the alteration, and should not be consumed. Revival (ξαναζέσταμα) of the same food is not allowed for the second time.
Keep the food out of the refrigerator, for as less time as possible.
Control the color, the smell, the taste of the food, as well as the date of expiry as well as the conditions of preservation.
We don’t buy and don’t leave food exposed to the sun or insects.
We put the perishable foods that require no maintenance, chilled in the fridge as quickly as possible after you purchase them.
Eat only well-cooked food, and καλοπλυμένα fruits and vegetables.
We don’t eat μισομαγειρεμένο meat or raw eggs. The shells should always be alive before cooking them. It is dangerous to be eaten raw, especially by the sensitive population groups (children, pregnant women, the elderly, patients with chronic diseases or suppress the immune system).
