Σταϊνμάιερ: “The agreement with Turkey run”

The agreement concluded between the European Union and Turkey….
for the control of refugee flows, it works, and no other immigration route has not replaced that διέρχετο through Greece, said welcoming the minister for Foreign affairs of Germany Frank Walter Σταϊνμάιερ in an interview published today in several european newspapers.
“We now have an agreement that delivers tangible results,” noted the head of German diplomacy in this interview, published in Italy by the newspaper La Repubblica.
“During the three weeks leading up to the agreement, approximately 27,000 refugees had arrived in Greece via Turkey. The next three weeks were a little fewer than 6,000. A greater decline in comparison with the provisions,” said the German FOREIGN ministry.
Asked about the risk of the refugees to follow other migration routes, particularly from North Africa, the Σταϊνμάιερ considered that at present nothing indicates such a thing.
“Until today, no other immigration route alternative in the Balkan corridor has not been set up, either Albania or Italy,” he said.
Besides, he assured that the Europeans did not turn their gaze facing the violations of human rights after the conclusion of this agreement with Turkey.
“To accuse us of sin by silence, or bow before the Anchor is wrong,” notes the minister of Foreign affairs of Germany in this interview.
