Almost 37,000 individuals benefited from the employment subsidy programs of ΔΥΠΑ in the first six months of 2025, marking a new record. Since August 2019, a total of 246,920 unemployed people have found work through these initiatives. The employment programs focus on creating new job positions, gaining professional experience, promoting entrepreneurship, and offering specialized schemes. These include numerous actions funded by the Recovery Fund and the ESRR (European Structural and Investment Funds). According to a study conducted by the Strategic Planning Directorate, which analyzed data from ΔΥΠΑ’s Integrated Information System, during the first semester of 2025: 12,260 unemployed individuals (33%) were hired through new job creation programs; 11,521 (31%) received approval for funding to start their own businesses; 7,133 (19%) were employed via special employment programs; and 5,864 young unemployed people aged 18-29 (16%) participated in professional experience programs.
